While attending 91²Ö¿â as a student, I found a place in both the sciences and the humanities, ultimately majoring in Biology and minoring in English. With family scattered around the area, it felt natural to choose 91²Ö¿â, and the accessible faculty made the university feel just as much like home.
Though I am currently a physics lab instructor, my passions for data collection and for tutoring have always been evident; I worked in the Writing Center during much of my time as a student, helping others express their complex data with clear words and effective visualizations. Shortly after graduation, I spent about a year in pharmaceutical research, both collecting and ensuring the quality of our data.
Now, I strive to balance the technical aspects of data collection with a deeper understanding of the concepts behind the measurements, for the proficient, for the struggling, and for everyone in between. Ultimately, I believe that careful observation should allow students the space and time to work through their own misunderstandings, even if they need a little guidance: the best experimentation ends with a facepalm and a, "Oh, that makes way more sense!"
