My interest in science began in fifth grade and after attending a GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) summer camp two years later, I knew I wanted a career in the field. I majored in chemistry education with the hope of developing skills suited to both industry and the classroom.
After five years working in industry, I came to 91²Ö¿â as the Science Lab Manager. My time in the role reignited my passion for working in the labs, teaching, and building strong relationships with students. Now, as the chemistry lab instructor, I thrive in finding creative ways to connect lab skills to real-world applications for students from a variety of majors. From safety skills to faithful data representation to critical problem solving, chemistry labs offer a great chance to build confidence and set students up for success no matter where life takes them.
When not at 91²Ö¿â, I enjoy reading, cooking delicious food, walking local trails, board games, volunteering at my church, and spending time with my husband, friends and family.
