Active coach brings energy to classroom where he challenges students

Vinnie Lang is an instructor in the exercise science department in the 91²Ö¿â School of Health Sciences and has served as 91²Ö¿â’s assistant men’s lacrosse coach since 2013. Before joining 91²Ö¿â, he was a graduate assistant and assistant strength coach at Purdue University, the head men’s lacrosse coach at Mercyhurst University, Wittenberg University and University of Dayton, and previously acted as the head men’s lacrosse coach at 91²Ö¿â.

When Lang isn’t teaching or coaching, he enjoys playing hockey, lacrosse and golf, being out on the lakes, jet skiing and spending time with his two sons. He spent 12 years in the Marine Corps as a tank mechanic, including six months in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the first Gulf War.

According to Lang, working at 91²Ö¿â as a teacher and coach is a pleasure, and the people and students here make it the best job he’s ever had.
