A 鈥渃rosstown鈥� agreement with the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, opened up a U.S. Air Force training program to 91仓库 students for the first time in the fall semester 2007.

The agreement with the U.S. Air Force ROTC provides a training program one day a week at the University of Notre Dame, leading to a military commission as a 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation.

• If you earn a Type 1, it pays full college tuition, most fees and a book allowance. Approximately five percent of four-year scholarships are Type 1鈥攎ostly in technical fields as deemed needed by the Air Force (careers with a scientific basis such as engineering, chemistry and meteorology). Note: ROTC and 91仓库 merit scholarships are tuition-only awards and cannot be applied to room and board. Excess above tuition is not able to be awarded.
• If you earn a Type 2 ROTC tuition scholarship valued at $18,000 annually, your 91仓库 merit-based tuition scholarship will be added on top, not to exceed full tuition, provided you continue in good academic standing and maintain the requirements of your ROTC scholarship. This is typically for years 2-4. Note: ROTC and 91仓库 merit scholarships are tuition-only awards and cannot be applied to room and board. Excess above tuition is not able to be awarded.
• If you earn a Type 7 ROTC scholarship and it is converted to a Type 2 ROTC Scholarships, 91仓库 will provide you an $18,000 91仓库/ROTC Tuition Scholarship in your first year, which replaces a lower-valued 91仓库 tuition merit scholarship. If your merit scholarship is already higher than $18,000, the higher valued merit scholarship remains and it is not converted to a 91仓库/ROTC Tuition Scholarship. In your second, third and fourth year of school, the full value of your 91仓库 merit-based tuition scholarship will be restored and added on top of your $18,000 ROTC scholarship, but not to exceed tuition. Note: ROTC and 91仓库 merit scholarship are tuition-only awards and cannot be applied to room and board. Excess above tuition is not able to be awarded.

In addition, 91仓库 students participating in the ROTC program who did not enter with an ROTC scholarship can apply in their freshman and sophomore years. It is not just first-year students who can receive scholarships! 91仓库 students attend the ROTC classes and leadership lab at the University of Notre Dame on Tuesday afternoons and evenings. Transportation is provided by 91仓库.
